Note: Read in Hindi
Mere dil ki galiyo mein
Man ke samundar mein
Mastishq k tufaano mein
Sharir ki chetana mein
Jivan ki is pagdandi pe
Vicharo ke in mausan mein
In saanso ke kan-kan mein
In batoon mei har kshan mein
Dhoondhti hu ateet se nikal
Bhavishya mein jaakar
Aur phir is vartamaan ki
Parvah na karte hue
In smritiyon mein
khoyi hui smriti
Subah se ho jaati hai shaam
Aur phir aati hai ek nayi subah
Hafte, mahine, varsh;
ksan-bhar mei beet jate hain sab
Aur meri khooj
Aur gehan ho jaati hai
Parantu phir bhi khoje nahi
Milti wo smriti
Aur phir kisi aahat se
Ya kisi chillahat se
Dhyan-bhang ho jaata hai jab
Tab maluum padta hai ki
Smritiyon mein kho gayi thi mein
Dhoondh rahi thi khud ko
Aur phir vah pal
Ban jaata hai ek smriti
Jab-jab vah chetna
Vyapak ho uthti hai
Tab-tab ehsas hota hai
Jaane kahan kho gayi hoon
In smritiyon mein
MAIN KHUD SMRITI :)

P.S: This poem got me 2nd prize at the inter-college 'Swarachit Kavita' comptetion in Lucknow.

  1. Loved your words...keep it up. Try writing in Devanagari script next time, it always helps reader.

    3. Mr. Anonymous, I wrote it when I was 14..so, it doesn't has 'that' perfection or proper use of words but, I prefer to keep it the authentic way! :)

I noted your points..will definitely try to implement them. :)
